In 1847 – The Maison Cartier was founded by master jeweller Louis-Francois Cartier. Almost from the beginning, Perfume in stunning custom-made bottles, was an integral part of the Cartier story.
From 1902 to 1936, Cartier became the jeweller to royal courts around the world, the recipient of 15 royal patents. In 1938 Jeanne Toussaint registered the trademark Cartier Parfums. However with the outbreak of the Second World War, the project was interrupted. It was not until1981, which MUST, the first perfume for women by Cartier was launched.
Since 2005, the perfumer Mathilde Laurent has been the master perfumer for Maison Cartier, bringing her intuitive, contemporary style to Cartier’s olfactory style that blends excess and simplicity.
In 2014, paying homage to Jeanne Toussant (The Panther) Mathilde created another first an audacious feline floral LA PANTHЀRE, a perfume that encapsulated the spirit of Cartier.
In 2016, once again Mathilde broke with convention by creating a fragrance like an active substance. For the first time on the men’s perfume market, an EAU DE PARFUM launch that provides strength, power and elegance with L’ENVOL DE CARTIER.
